About

Beautiful handicrafts surround and decorate the Setos’ everyday life. In olden days, young children had to acquire a variety of handicraft techniques and skills to cope with life. Nowadays, engaging in the traditional handicraft can be both a lifestyle choice and earning a living. Seto Handicraft Association (MTÜ Seto Käsitüü Kogo) was founded in Obinitsa on the 18th  of July, 2006.  The organization incorporates handicraft businesses, non-profit organizations and artisans. Seto Handicraft Association aims to develop business activity based on traditional Seto handicrafts through continuity and preservation of the handicraft traditions. Our members are a great source for information and training in traditional Seto handicrafts ranging from textiles to log houses. Various handmade products and services can be ordered from the many members of the association.
